After which the investigation of the matter started, on which the Supreme Court took suo motu action and in the same case, the Supreme Court disqualified Nawaz Sharif for life and ordered NAB to file three references. In the light of the decision of the Supreme Court on 28 July 2017 in the Panama case, NAB filed three references against Nawaz Sharif and his children in the accountability court on 8 September 2017. During the prime ministership, they created benami properties in the names of Hassan and Hussain Nawaz, during which the children were under guardianship, 16 offshore companies were created in the name of the children. The children did not have any sources of income to invest 4.2 million pounds, Nawaz Sharif. He is the original owner of Al-Azizia and Hull Metal Company, Sharif family maintains that JIT investigation is biased, children built mill and company with money received from grandfather, Al-Azizia Steel Mills was bought by Qatari investment. After getting permission to go to the country, after which he returned, the caretaker government of the Punjab government suspended the sentence of former prime minister and PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif in the Al-Azizia reference.
