I am often asked why my writings are mostly about Pakistan and Pakistan Army and people call me a staunch supporter of Pakistan and Pakistan Army. Some close acquaintances have even blocked me on their respective social media platforms. Surprisingly, some national and local newspapers shy away from publishing content that is written in support of Pakistan and the military, instead opting for mostly negative and peppery content. The editor of a respected national English newspaper openly admitted that my article could not be published due to strict instructions from the owners against printing pro-country and pro-military viewpoints. Despite these challenges, my love and loyalty to religion, country and the military remain steadfast and I feel it necessary to answer the questions raised about my stand and unwavering feelings.
A free country is very important to me. A country is not just a geographically defined piece of land. It is the essence and foundation of a nation. It is a land of fulfillment of people's collective identity, culture and aspirations.
A country serves as the canvas on which a nation paints its unique cultural identity. Traditions, customs, language and heritage are linked to the land, forming the basis of a common national identity. The preservation and promotion of this cultural tapestry is essential to create a sense of belonging and pride among citizens.
Furthermore, a country provides a framework for political stability. It establishes a structure for governance and defines roles and responsibilities to promote a system that ensures order and security. Political stability is essential for citizens to achieve their goals and aspirations in an environment of peace and security.
Economically a country acts as the hub of a nation and offers the necessary infrastructure, legal framework and resources for economic activities to flourish. Industries and commerce within a country contribute to its overall economic prosperity, which directly affects the financial well-being of its citizens.
The concept of a country acts as a social bond and binds diverse communities and individuals into a unified unit. It transcends regional, ethnic and linguistic differences and fosters a shared sense of community. Social cohesion is essential for the development of a country as it maintains cooperation, tolerance and mutual understanding among its citizens.
At the international level, a country represents a nation, establishing relations with others to develop diplomatic relations, engage in trade, and participate in international forums. A strong and respected country enhances its nation's standing globally and opens avenues for cooperation, innovation and joint progress.
The territorial integrity of a country is equivalent to the sovereignty of a nation. Security of borders is not only about physical security but also a symbol of protection of sovereignty and self-determination of the country. In summary, my support for Pakistan and its armed forces stems from a deep understanding of the multifaceted role that a country plays in shaping the identity, stability and prosperity of its people.
The importance of freedom becomes apparent when one considers those deprived of it. The existence of nations deprived of independence is fraught with challenges, ranging from identity struggles to political representation.
For individuals without an independent nation, the question of identity is of particular importance. The absence of a homeland leads to a constant struggle for a unified identity, as these individuals grapple with the complexities of belonging to multiple places without a single national affiliation.
Lack of an independent nation often translates into political marginalization. Living within a country that cannot fully recognize their interests, individuals find themselves in a closed loop for decision-making and feel disenfranchised and neglected. .
Without an independent country, their situation raises human rights challenges. Limited political representation can affect their rights and expose them to discrimination, persecution or even statelessness. Access to education, health care and employment opportunities may be limited, which may exacerbate the difficulties they face.
Economic disparity often affects those who are deprived of a free country. Absence of political autonomy can hinder economic growth and opportunity, perpetuate poverty and limit access to resources. Economic instability, combined with the challenges of being part of a fragmented community, can hinder the ability to establish sustainable livelihoods.
The preservation and promotion of one's culture becomes a delicate balancing act for those who are not an independent nation. Dispersion of communities across borders can lead to the loss of cultural practices and traditions. Maintaining a cohesive cultural identity in the face of geographic separation is a major challenge, which calls for flexibility and adaptive strategies.
In recent times there has been a growing awareness and solidarity among those who are not independent nations. International organizations and advocacy groups seek to highlight their struggles, with the goal of raising their voices on the global stage. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by stateless or marginalized communities is an important step toward fostering understanding and cooperation.
The creation of Pakistan in 1947 was a significant moment in the history of the Indian subcontinent. The establishment of Pakistan was much more than a mere geopolitical event linked to the attainment of religious and cultural autonomy. It was a profound expression of the aspirations of a separate community.
The focus of Pakistan's demand was the desire to establish a separate nation for Muslims in the Indian subcontinent. Led by Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the All India Muslim League, this idea was based on the belief that Muslims should form a unique community with its own distinct cultural and social values. The demand for a separate nation was aimed at protecting the religious and political rights of Muslims.
The rich cultural diversity of the Indian subcontinent played an important role in the advocacy of a separate nation. Proponents of Pakistan argued that Muslims had a distinct cultural identity, including language, traditions and social practices, that warranted the establishment of a separate political entity. The concept of Pakistan included the preservation and promotion of this unique cultural heritage.
Pakistan's demand came in the context of a broader movement for independence in the Indian subcontinent. While the Indian National Congress pursued a unified, secular India, the Muslim League sought political autonomy for Muslims. The creation of Pakistan was seen as a means for Muslims to live up to their religious and cultural values.
Economic considerations were also behind Pakistan's demand. The idea was that Muslims, especially in regions like Punjab and Bengal, would get better economic opportunities and representation in the form of a separate nation. Pakistan's economic vision aimed to ensure equitable distribution of resources and opportunities for the Muslim population.
During the independence movement, communal tensions between Hindus and Muslims increased, intensifying the demand for a separate Muslim state. The violent and tragic events that took place during the partition of British India in 1947 further emphasized the urgent need for separate nations to prevent inter-communal conflicts.
Pakistan's demand was not only about geographical separation. Its aim was to secure the rights of Muslims and address their legal and constitutional concerns. The leaders sought a political structure that would protect the interests of the Muslim minority, especially in regions where they were not in the majority.
The creation of Pakistan was the result of countless sacrifices which gave us the opportunity to live freely with our religion and belief. We enjoy the freedom to move and work anywhere within the country. To understand the importance of a country, one can look at the plight of India's minorities or Palestinians who are facing severe challenges to live freely according to their faith and are not treated as equal citizens.
Despite facing challenges such as inflation, high unemployment and problems of law and justice, the undeniable advantages of being an independent country are evident. It is impossible to imagine life without freedom and as a minority. The dire situation in Palestine and Occupied Kashmir further illustrates the importance of my homeland. Anyone who questions the creation or existence of Pakistan should go and ask the people of Palestine and Occupied Kashmir about the importance of an independent country. My question is why should I not love a country where I can live and work freely?
Now coming to the importance of army which goes far beyond just defence. It is an important institution protecting the sovereignty, stability and prosperity of the country.
The primary importance of the army is its primary role in national defense. The army ensures the safety of citizens while dealing with external threats. A strong military acts as a deterrent, deters potential attackers and forms the basis of a secure environment. The army is a symbol of a country's sovereignty, ensures freedom and conveys the message of its ability to protect the country's interests.
Apart from external threats, the military also maintains internal stability, responds to natural disasters, civil unrest or crises by providing humanitarian aid, maintaining order and assisting civilian authorities. The armed forces play an important role in responding quickly to natural calamities. This dual role as protector and humanitarian responder underscores the importance of the military.
Investing in military technology leads to advancements that benefit the entire country. Research and development in the defense sector drives innovation in the military as well as in healthcare, communication and transportation.
Many countries also participate in international peacekeeping missions and deploy armed forces to conflict zones for global stability. By doing so, a country's military not only enhances global security but also improves diplomatic standing and promotes positive relations internationally.

This determination to end terrorism has fostered a favorable environment for national development.
Pakistan Army has also shown strong determination in the field of humanitarianism at domestic and international level. Pakistan Army lays great emphasis on education and training, institutions like Pakistan Military Academy produce skilled and disciplined officers who contribute not only to the army but also to various sectors of the society. This commitment to education is critical in building a knowledgeable and capable workforce for the nation.
Pak Army, an institution where anyone can join irrespective of caste or status, through a transparent and fair procedure. Our Chief of Army Staff and the current services of the Pakistan Army highlight their prominent role in tackling challenges ranging from financial crises and counter-trafficking to inflation control and repatriation of illegal immigrants. My question is, why should I not love an army that provides a safe environment where I am able to live and work freely anywhere in my country? Writing and publishing this article is also thanks to a free country and army. If I were in Occupied Kashmir or Palestine, it would be impossible for me to even attempt such a thing.
